Global Alliance Office on Drugs and Crime

An Innovative Platform for Human Security

The GA-ODC is an open and interactive global network for action and impact on the full spectrum of crimes and corruption, with a sharp focus on the enhancement of Rule of law and Justice in all sectors and regions. The GAODC works in close partnership with UN agencies and International Organizations, with offices located in Vienna and New York.

With its pool of experts in various areas of Drugs and Crime, GA-ODC brings distinctive competence as an expert group. GA-ODC provides real-time alerts on emerging trends and action points for practical solutions on crime and justice issues in all public and private sectors. GA-ODC in consultation and collaboration with UN agencies like UNODC, and CSOs, NGOs, Governments, and the private sector is to advance the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

To this end, the GA-ODC will primarily address in its work:

  • Organized crime (incl. Crime prevention, trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants);
  • Corruption in both public and private sector (including money laundering, and proceeds of crimes);
  • Illicit drugs (medical and narcotic);
  • Terrorism contexts (non-politico-military);
  • Environmental crimes; and
  • Dual-use/disruptive technologies (including AI, cybercrimes, cyberterrorism, and other so-called human presence eliminating technologies).

The GA-ODC is organized as an open system, which recognizes the converging and corrupting impacts of criminal enterprises and responds with a swift and inclusive team approach.
